Liveinslums’s The Common\Uncommon Object exhibition puts on display some elements from the NGO’s collection of daily objects from the Mathare ghetto in Nairobi, an archive of everyday tools that began back in 2012 and is still going on. The series consists of portraits of street sellers carrying their own goods, slum dwellers, and still lifes of common daily utensils. The idea is to enrich the series with everyday objects from the people of Ljubljana, with a special focus on local minorities. For three days, Filippo Romano and Silvia Orazi will go around Ljubljana portraying and interviewing people, asking them to choose and pose with their own everyday object.
